No. 01 — Meet Mair

From first notes to the Royal Opera House stage.

Mair Rees-Davies is the teacher behind Primadonna Music. She teaches singing and piano to children from the age of six, and her pupils have gone on to festival medals, exam distinctions and the stage at Covent Garden.

Her lessons are calm, encouraging and properly structured. Pupils learn real technique without losing the fun that brought them to the piano, or the stage, in the first place.

Trained at the Royal College of Music and in Rome, Mair has 30 years of teaching behind her and has sung in concert and oratorio around the world, including before Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

No. 03 — On stage

Their moment, on stage.

Pupils have appeared at the Royal Opera House, played Young Cosette in Les Misérables and won seven festival medals. Children perform when they are ready, never before, and always well prepared.

No. 04 — The Studio

Channel View Music Studio.

Studio lessons happen at Channel View Music Studio in Dover: a calm, welcoming room with a piano at its heart and nothing to rush. It feels more like a front room than a classroom, which is exactly the point.

The first lesson is a free 15-minute trial. A conversation, a song or piece your child already loves, a few musical games. By the end, Mair knows where to begin, and your child knows there is nothing to be nervous about.
